Financial Capability, Inclusion and Housing Partnership Group
Transact's Housing Partnership group drew together a number of key membership bodies from the housing sector to establish consensus and potential for joint working within the housing sector's contribution to promoting financial inclusion. It was formed by Transact and the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in 2007. The partners on the group are the Change Partnership; the Chartered Institute of Housing (CiH); the Housing Corporation; the Local Government Association; the National Federation of ALMOs; and the National Housing Federation. The aims of the Transact Housing Partnership Group are summarised in its terms of reference. The group met regularly over a defined period of time to achieve key outputs; it will meet on an ad hoc basis as new initiatives are agreed. The group produced two brochures to promote financial inclusion: Making the Link: Engaging Social Landlords in Financial Inclusion Making the Link: The business case for social landlords investing in financial inclusion
