Ecology of FinanceThe Ecology of Finance - This paper published by NEF suggests that only radical reform will provide the UK with a financial sector which is sustainable and productive.

The author argues that the financial system should operate more like a well evolved eco-system with a variety of different institutions rather than a monoculture dominated by big banks. 



Strength against shocks: Low income families and debts (IPPR 1010) -  Over the past decade due to consumer trends the level of debt in the UK has risen drastically including amongst low income groups. This research highlights the impact of debt on low income households and the vulnerability their debt creates.
